Nutcracker Sweet began retail trade in 1988 at the Fishermanʼs Wharf Market (then known as the Waterfront Market) Port Adelaide, in South Australia.

In 1990, the first Nutcracker Sweet retail shop opened in the Adelaide Hills town of Hahndorf. Soon after, Nutcracker Sweet Mt Barker sprang into vibrant trade offering a wide variety of confectionery, dried fruits, nuts, novelty chocolates and gift baskets to this growing hub.

A mobile version of Nutcracker Sweet traded at field days, craft fairs, and country shows throughout South Australia. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Nutcracker Sweet  traded at shows and festivals along the east coast and in central Australia before opening a retail outlet at Middleton, a beach location near Victor Harbor, South Australia.

By 2010 Nutcracker Sweet was supplying wholesale bulk boiled lollies, confectionery, chocolates and macadamias to specialty shops throughout Adelaide and South Australia.

Founder and owner operator, Jeff Emerson, developed Nutcracker Sweet over decades, stocking predominantly Australian confectionery and nuts, and supplying many retail and wholesale customers in city, country, regional areas.

Today, Nutcracker Sweet operates from its warehouse at 88 Hill Street, Port Elliot, South Australia. With a new retail Lolly shop opening soon at 17-21 Ocean St, Victor Harbor.

Nutcracker Sweet supply wholesale bulk confectionery, chocolates and macadamias to specialty confectionery and nut shops throughout South Australia.

As sole distributor for Country Style Confectionery, Nutcracker Sweet carry a large range of rock candy, humbugs, sherbets, sours and even chilli. These boiled sweets have become known as the best on the Australian market. Strong flavours are enjoyed all the way through the lolly; many lines display colourful picturesque centres.

Sourcing old fashioned and hard to find lines, which are not always available from larger outlets, Nutcracker Sweet carry a wide range of popular confectionery plus lesser known sweets and novelty products. In its temperature controlled warehouse, Nutcracker Sweet stock more than 700 lines, predominantly products made in Australia.
